At FooMoo, our mission is to provide a platform to share parenting knowledge and resources and to make the journey more joyful for both parents and children. Here we describe how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you (“User”) use FooMoo in order to operate our platform and participate in our communities.
We commit that we will NEVER sell to any third party any information you provide us or we collect about you.
By use of the FooMoo platform you confirm that you have read, understand and accept this privacy policy and the FooMoo Terms and Conditions (Referred to collectively as The Agreement).
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
Information for Registration: FooMoo is an invitation only platform for parents. In order to invite you, we collect your name and email address information.
User Profile Information: If you would like to use the ParentShare functionalities, you will choose to qualify for higher membership levels by providing additional information: (1) share facts about yourself and your children (name, grade level, and interests) that help other parents get to know you and become comfortable with sharing parenting resources with you; (2) pass ID verification and Sex Offender database clearance; (3) provide a valid payment method; (4) before you offer a car pool service, provide your vehicle information and a valid driver’s license (if not used in ID verification).
Payment Method: When you add a credit card or payment method to your FooMoo account, a third-party payment processor will receive your card information directly. To keep your financial data secure, we do not receive or store full credit card information on our servers. We may collect additional information for tax filing purpose when needed.
B. INFORMATION WE COLLECT WHEN YOU USE THE FOOMOO PLATFORM
Location Information: FooMoo may collect User’s location information in order to facilitate our service provision.
Device Information: FooMoo receives information from Users’ devices, including IP address, mobile operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens.
Usage Information: To help us understand how you use the FooMoo Platform and to help us improve it, we automatically receive information about your interactions with the FooMoo Platform, like the pages or other content you view, your actions within the FooMoo app, and the dates and times of your visits.
User Feedback: At FooMoo, we want to ensure a great user experience. Users may rate and review each other at the end of every transaction. We receive information about ratings and reviews and, we share a User’s ratings and reviews within the User community.
Address Book Contacts: FooMoo DOES NOT access the address book on your device. Your FooMoo address book contains the names of Users in your communities. Your information will likewise be available to other Users in the same community. Other Users may generally view your publicly available Profile, which does NOT include your email address, mobile number, or children’s names. However, when you agree to a ParentShare transaction with another User, such User may view your email address, phone number, home address, children’s grade level (and vehicle plate number if you are a car pool driver) as they need such information to complete their service or contact you.
C. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM THIRD PARTIES
Third Party Partners: We may receive additional information about you, such as demographic data, payment information, or fraud detection information, from third party partners and combine it with other information that we have about you.
Background Information on Users: Upon your consent, FooMoo works with third party partners to perform ID verification for you and checks against the Sex Offender registry.
D. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We use the information we collect from all Users to:
Connect Users primarily within school communities;
Provide, improve, expand, and promote the FooMoo Platform;
Analyze how the FooMoo community uses the FooMoo Platform;
Communicate with you;
Personalize the FooMoo experience for Users;
Send you text messages and push notifications;
Facilitate transactions and payments;
Provide you with customer support;
Find and prevent fraud;
Respond to trust and safety issues that may arise, including auto incidents, disputes between Users, and requests from government authorities;
Determining a User’s eligibility to use or offer services on FooMoo; and
Facilitate Community Leaders’ work.
E. HOW WE SHARE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
E.1 Sharing Between Users
Users that have agreed to a ParentShare Transaction are able to see more information about each other, such as home address, email address, phone numbers, and a carpool driver’s vehicle plate number only if it is a Carpool ParentShare.
E.2 Sharing Between FooMoo and Third Parties
Service Providers: We work with third party service providers to perform services on our behalf (payment processing, liability insurance, and ID verification), and we may share your information with such service providers to help us provide the FooMoo Platform, including all of the things described in Section 3 above.
Third Party Services: We do NOT sell your information to any third parties.
E.3 Other Sharing. We may share your information with third parties in the following cases:
If a government authority requests information and we think disclosure is required or appropriate in order to comply with laws, regulations, or a legal process;
With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or third parties if we think doing so is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the FooMoo community, FooMoo, or the public (you can read more about this in our Law Enforcement Request policy);
To comply with a legal requirement or process, including but not limited to, civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders or other compulsory disclosures.
If you signed up for a promotion with another User’s referral or promotion code, with your referrer to let them know about your redemption of or qualification for the promotion;
With our insurance partners to help determine and provide relevant coverage in the event of an incident.
F. YOUR CHOICES
Email Subscriptions: You can always unsubscribe from our commercial or promotional emails but we will still send you transactional and relational emails about your account use of the FooMoo Platform.
Push Notifications: You can opt out of receiving push notifications through your device settings. Please note that opting out of receiving push notifications may impact your use of the FooMoo Platform (such as receiving a notification that your ride has arrived).
Editing and Accessing Your Information: You can review, edit and delete information by logging in to your account settings and profile. If would like to terminate your FooMoo account, you may do so in the App when there are no scheduled ParentShare transactions to be completed. If you choose to terminate your account, we will deactivate it for you but may retain information from your account for a certain period of time to support necessary FooMoo operations. We also may retain information from your account to collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, analyze usage of the FooMoo Platform, assist with any investigations, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, or take other actions as required or permitted by law.
G. Other
Data Security: We are committed to protecting the data of the FooMoo community. Even though we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no security measures can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your data.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy: We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will let you know through the FooMoo Platform, by email, or other communication. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy periodically to stay up-to-date about our privacy practices. As long as you use the FooMoo Platform, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy and any updates we make to it.
